Syrian Lebanese restaurant · Valencia
Damascus is
closer.
Handmade hummus, falafel and shawarma, from a Syrian family to your table. Two homes in Valencia: Ruzafa and Poble Nou.
Syrian food made by hand, like at home.
We are a Syrian family cooking what we have always cooked: chickpeas soaked for 48 hours, spices brought from the Middle East, freshly baked Lebanese bread and recipes passed down from generation to generation.
No shortcuts, no factory frozen food: every falafel, every kibbeh and every tray of baklava comes out of our hands, every day, in our two restaurants.
Handmade, family-run, local.
Handmade
It all starts with the produce: chickpeas soaked for 48 hours, fresh vegetables every day and dough kneaded in-house. Nothing comes ready-made.
Family-run
The recipes belong to the family and the family is still in the kitchen. What reaches your table is what we eat ourselves.
Local
Ruzafa and Poble Nou. Small places, honest prices and neighbours who come back every week.
What you have to try.
Shawarma
The star product: Lebanese bread, chicken, kafta and falafel with our sauce.
Mixed platter
Hummus, mutabal, falafel, kibbeh, tabbouleh and vine leaves. The best introduction.
Kafta
Minced beef skewers with parsley and Arabic spices, grilled over fire.
What you will eat at a Syrian restaurant.
Proper shawarma
Our shawarma is wrapped in freshly baked Lebanese bread, not industrial kebab bread. You can have it with chicken, beef kafta, mixed, with kibbeh or with falafel. We make the garlic sauce and the tahini ourselves every morning.
Falafel and dips to share
Our falafel is made with chickpeas soaked for 48 hours — never from pre-cooked flour — ground with parsley, coriander and Arabic spices. Alongside it, the classic dips of the Levant: chickpea hummus with tahini, smoked aubergine babaganoush and roasted pepper muhammara with walnuts.
Vegan food without compromise
A good part of our menu is vegan by tradition, not by trend: falafel, hummus, mutabal, muhammara, tabbouleh, fattoush and vine leaves stuffed with rice. In Valencia we are a regular choice for anyone looking for genuine vegetarian and vegan Arabic food.
Family platters and Arabic sweets
For groups we prepare family platters with a selection of starters, meats and salads. And to finish, homemade baklava with pistachio, walnut or almond, and the honey-soaked filo nests we make in house.
